Am I just a pessimist? No. I am 67. I firmly believe in WWIII. I just hope that it won't ruin the rest of my life too much.
I do remember the Cold War. Very well. And my country, Sweden, has a sea border to Russia. Kaliningrad is very close. We have fought Russia since before the older Futhark.
Unlike the US and the UK, we have never, ever, even once, fought on the same side as the Russians.
The Russians are the bad guys. Always.
I look forwards to the apocalyptic novel that started this way...
